l Random Tuesday INC.

Mission:

Random Tuesday, Inc.(RTI) is a 501(c)3 organization that harnesses the power of fandom to inspire communities of fans to be more physically active while raising funds for deserving charities. We are changing the world…one mile at a time.

History:

Random Tuesday, Inc.(RTI) – a registered 501(c)3 non-profit organization (EIN 47-4958349) – was founded in 2014 (as Hogwarts Running Club) and became a registered non-profit in August 2015. RTI organizes virtual running events to inspire people to be more physically active and support charities focused on women, veterans, youth, literacy, animals, homelessness, the environment and fighting diseases. Currently, RTI has three charitable programs based on three different “fan domains” or “fandoms”:

Hogwarts Running Club (Harry Potter)

Whovian Running Club (Doctor Who)

Chilton Running Club (Gilmore Girls)

In its first four years, RTI has donated over $1,995,488.48!! to 40 charities by organizing these events and the members of our running clubs have logged over 6 million miles to improve their own physical fitness. Additionally, our members have participated in numerous direct impact programs and donated more than 125,000 scarves, socks, and other humanitarian aid items.

Virtual running, also known as a virtual race, is an event that can be run at any location at any time at any pace. Participants run/walk in their neighborhoods, use their treadmill, or hike a favorite trail to complete their distance at their own convenience. All participants receive the custom fandom-themed finisher’s medal for completing the distance and the charity partner for the event receives approximately two-thirds of the total funds generated from event registrations and associated event shirts.

Virtual runs inspired by fandoms to support numerous charities and inspire a healthy lifestyle.
